She/HeR
Karina Jovel Ábrego, a first-generation queer Indigenous Salvadorean-Mexican based in Naarm, is the co-founder of Corasazón Collective. She curates two exceptional events: ¡Escándalo! and Bombón.
Corasazón Collective's events are created by and dedicated to the QTBIPOC community. These events celebrate latinx culture through music and performance. At the heart of Corasazón Collective’s mission is the core value of “Perreo con etica” (party with purpose), where we shine a spotlight on a local or global community member in need.
Karina and fellow co-founder, Angel Estrada, believe in giving back to the community through Corasazón Collective events - making the events a unique experience where attendees know their money directly contributes to a donation to a community member.
Karina is committed to creating a space where the QTBIPOC community can experience liberation, appreciation, and connection.
